Endowed scholarships are essential to assuring that NC State competes for championships while attracting student-athletes who will make Wolfpackers proud. When a donor establishes a perpetual athletic scholarship at NC State, the gift is placed in an endowment fund. The fund is invested so that annual scholarships can be funded with a portion of the dividends and interest earned. The remaining portion is reinvested, enabling the scholarships to grow to offset inflation and rising tuition costs.
With more endowed scholarships, the Wolfpack Club can apply more of its annual membership contributions and gifts to other NC State Athletic Department needs. Wolfpack Club Endowment donors have the satisfaction of knowing that their gift will support deserving student-athletes year after year.

OTHER ENDOWMENT OPPORTUNITIES
There are several memorial endowments both at NC State and the Wolfpack Club that have been created to honor the memory of individuals who have made incredible contributions to NC State University, Wolfpack Athletics, and even the world. A few of these endowments were created to honor the person while living, and will forever make a difference in perpetuity, even when the person is no longer with us.
The Kay Yow Endowment was created in honor of Coach Kay Yow's 25th Anniversary at NC State. It was established to raise money toward scholarships for NC State female student-athletes. Although Coach Yow is no longer with us physically, her spirit lives on in each of the lives she touched throughout her incredible coaching career, as well through the endowment that bears her name. To the many donors who have already made contributions to this endowment, we thank you. We also invite all others who wish to do so, to participate as well. We realize there are many memorial funds with which to show your support to Coach Yow's memory, both through NC State and through cancer research, and hope you will consider supporting one of them.
Norm and Joan Sloan Endowment was created as a way to honor his memory. This endowment will perpetually fund the scholarship of one NC State men's basketball player.
